How to Program Brightstar Universal TV Remote
Method 1: Programming with Code
- Manually turn on the TV.
- Press and hold the SET-UP key until the LED blinks and remains on, then release the button.
- Find your 3-digit code from the code lookup tool provided above and enter it. After you enter the code, the indicator light will turn off, and you are done.
Note: If the LED blinked rapidly when entering the code, you may have entered an invalid one. Recheck the code list and try again, or use the next code. Also, if the volume and channel functions do not work, you do not have an exact code match, and please try another code.
To return to factory settings:
- Press SET-UP and hold until the LED stays on.
- Press CC.
If the code for your TV is not available in the code lookup tool or you cannot get the TV to respond, try the code search method as explained below.
Method 2: Programming without Code
- Turn on the TV.
- Press and hold the SET-UP key until the LED blinks and stays lit, then release the button.
- Press the channel up [CH+] button repeatedly (60 or more times) until the channel changes. The LED will blink and then stay lit. If you bypass the code, just press the CH- key to go backward through the library until the TV changes channels. Pressing CH+ changes direction to forward again.
- Now press ENTER to lock in the code.
