Pairing to Stream Box
Your remote automatically pairs with your Optimum Stream box during installation. If it becomes unpaired or you get a new remote, simply follow the pairing steps.
To pair, place the Optimum Stream box in direct view of the remote. If it’s behind a TV or in a cabinet, move it temporarily so the remote can connect. Once paired, you can move the Stream box out of sight.
- Turn on your TV and Optimum Stream box.
- Press Home (⌂) on the Stream remote to ensure you’re on the home screen.
- From the home screen, select Settings.
- Choose Device and Remote Settings > Remotes & Accessories.
- Select Add Stream Remote.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your remote.
- Once paired, you’ll see an on-screen confirmation.
Programming to Control your TV
- Once paired to the Stream box, go to Settings and select Remotes & Accessories.
- Select Stream Remote (connected) > Change TV Set Up.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to program your remote.
- You’ll see an on-screen confirmation when the remote is programmed.
So, programming your optimum remote controls is well explained in the above sections. Before programming your remote, find out the compatible remote codes for your device using the code lookup tool and note it down. This makes your task much easier. If you have any issues with the programming or have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments.
Happy programming!
