How to Program Altice Optimum Remotes

Optimum remotes come in different models, each with its own programming steps. To make it easier, I’ve unified each programming method for all remote models, clearly outlining the steps. Simply follow the instructions for your specific model to avoid any confusion.

Direct Code Entry

1. Prepare the device:
   • Turn on your TV.
2. Activate programming mode:
   • Altice One/Digital Adapter/Maestro XL: Hold TV Power + SELECT/OK until the light blinks twice.
   • UR2-CBL-CV04: Hold TV + SEL for 3 seconds until the “iO” button lights up.
   • URC2464: Hold TV Power + SEL until the “O.” blinks twice.
   • Polaris: Hold SETUP until TV Power blinks twice.
   • Atlas: Press the mode key (e.g., TV), then hold SETUP until it blinks twice.
   • Pulse IR & RF: Hold SETUP until the LED blinks twice.
   • Delta: Hold SET until the red LED blinks twice.
3. Enter the code:
   • Most remotes: Use a 4-digit code.
   • Delta: Use a 5-digit code.
   • UR2-CBL-CV04: Use a 3-digit code.
4. Test Functions:
   • Try Power, VOL+/-, and MUTE:
     • If buttons work, setup is complete.
     • If not, repeat with another code.
   • UR2-CBL-CV04: Press MUTE to turn the TV on, then press the TV button to save the code (iO button blinks to confirm).

   • UR2-CBL-CV04: Press CH+ or CH- until the TV turns off.
   • Polaris/Atlas/Delta: Enter 9-9-1, then press CH+ repeatedly until the TV turns off.
4. Save the code:
   • Press the following to save the working code:
     • Altice Digital Adapter: SELECT.
     • UR2-CBL-CV04: TV (iO button blinks twice).
     • Polaris/Atlas/Delta: SETUP or SET.
5. Test the remote:
   • Verify TV Power, VOL+/-, and MUTE buttons.
   • If they don’t work, repeat the process.

One-Digit Code Search

1. Prepare your TV:
   • • Ensure your TV is powered on.
2. Activate programming mode:
   • • Altice One/Digital Adapter: Hold TV Power + the number key for your brand for 3 seconds until the light turns on.

   • • Altice One/Digital Adapter: Press SELECT to store the code. The light will turn off.
     • Maestro XL: The HOME/MENU button blinks twice automatically to confirm.
     • URC2464/Pulse IR & RF: No additional step is required; proceed to testing.
5. Test the remote:
   • • Check TV Power, VOL+/-, and MUTE buttons to confirm functionality.
     • If they don’t work, repeat the process.

Programming Optimum Stream Remote

Pairing to Stream Box

Your remote automatically pairs with your Optimum Stream box during installation. If it becomes unpaired or you get a new remote, simply follow the pairing steps.

To pair, place the Optimum Stream box in direct view of the remote. If it’s behind a TV or in a cabinet, move it temporarily so the remote can connect. Once paired, you can move the Stream box out of sight.

1. Turn on your TV and Optimum Stream box.
2. Press Home (⌂) on the Stream remote to ensure you’re on the home screen.
3. From the home screen, select Settings.
4. Choose Device and Remote Settings > Remotes & Accessories.
5. Select Add Stream Remote.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your remote.
7. Once paired, you’ll see an on-screen confirmation.

Programming to Control your TV

1. Once paired to the Stream box, go to Settings and select Remotes & Accessories.
2. Select Stream Remote (connected) > Change TV Set Up.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to program your remote.
4. You’ll see an on-screen confirmation when the remote is programmed.
